Mick Messner Named Utah Grizzlies Captain

Mick Messner Named Grizzlies Captain 

West Valley City, Utah – Mick Messner has been named the new captain of the Utah Grizzlies. 

Messner has appeared in 110 consecutive regular season games for the Grizzlies since the tail end of the 2022-23 regular season. Messner leads Utah with 91 shots on goal and he has 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 32 games. He is the first forward to be named team captain since Trey Bradley, who helped lead the Grizzlies to the 2021-22 mountain division title. 

Defenseman Cody Corbett will wear an “A” on his sweater for road games. 

Defenseman Gianni Fairbrother was suspended by Utah and removed from the roster. 

The Grizzlies return to Maverik Center for a six game homestand beginning on January 24, 2025 vs Wichita. Tickets for every Grizzlies home game are available at utahgrizzlies.com or by calling (801) 988-8000.
