Andrew Nielsen Traded to Cincinnati

Andrew Nielsen Traded to Cincinnati for Rights to Mannek, Future Considerations

West Valley City, Utah – The Utah Grizzlies have traded the ECHL rights to defenseman Andrew Nielsen to the Cincinnati Cyclones for the rights to forward Mason Mannek and future considerations.

Nielsen is currently playing on loan with the AHL’s Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins. Nielsen leads the Grizzlies with 32 assists and is 2nd with 41 points. He was selected to the 2023 ECHL All-Star team. Nielsen leads Utah with 26 power play points (6 goals, 20 assists).

Mannek played with Utah in the 2021-2022 season, scoring 23 goals and 28 assists in 72 games. Mannek is a native of Herriman, Utah and has not played in a pro hockey game this season. The Grizzlies also received future considerations from the Cyclones.

Utah hosts Cincinnati for a 3 game series on March 22, 24 at 7:10 pm and Sunday, March 26 at 3:10 pm. Tickets for every Grizzlies home game are available at utahgrizzlies.com or by calling (801) 988-8000.
