The Utah Grizzlies open up the 2019-2029 regular season tonight at Maverik Center against the Idaho Steelheads. Face-off is at 7:00 pm.
It will be the first of 16 regular season meetings between the two teams. Tickets are available for both tonight and Saturday night's Epilepsy Night, where the Grizzlies are wearing Salt Lake Golden Eagles themed specialty jersey's that will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds going to epilepsy research.

Great Crowds at Maverik Center
Grizzlies averaged 5496 fans per game in the 2018-19 season. That ranked 8th best in a 27 team (now 26) league. It was the second best attendance figures since the Grizzlies joined this league. They averaged 5666 fans per game in the 2017-18 season.

Classic Country 1370 AM Becomes Grizzlies Flagship Station
All 72 regular season games and the postseason will be heard on Classic Country 1370 AM. The games are also in HD at 104.3 FM HD2. Online Classic Country 1370 can be found at cc1370.com.
Division Games60 of the 72 games on the schedule will be against teams in the Mountain Division. Utah will get very familiar with the Idaho Steelheads again this season as they will meet 16 times. The Grizz will play the Rapid City 13 times, Allen Americans (9 games), Kansas City Mavericks (8 games) and the Wichita Thunder and Tulsa Oilers 6 each.
Turning Back The ClockUtah will also host a series against the Orlando Solar Bears, a team they swept in the 1996 Turner Cup Finals back when both teams played in the International Hockey League (IHL). Orlando returns to Utah on November 22nd and November 23rd.
New TerritoryThis year's schedule takes new life, with two Eastern Conference opponents making the trek out west for the first time in franchise history: the Florida Everblades (November 27th, 29th, and 30th) and the Newfoundland Growlers (December 11th, 13th, and 14th). The Growlers are the defending Kelly Cup champions, having won the championship in their first year in the league.
