Entering the 15th game of the season between the Grizzlies and Steelheads, Utah has seven wins and Idaho has seven wins as we enter the series finale and rubber game.
The Grizzlies will wrap up the regular season with four games in eight nights as they’ll move onto Colorado Wednesday.
The only other times the Grizzlies have been shutout this year were 2-0 by Idaho on December 9 here and 1-0 in a shootout by Colorado on December 20. The Grizzlies combined for 13 goals in their next two games after being shutout with an 8-5 win over Rapid City on December 15 and a 5-4 overtime win against Colorado on December 22.
Utah looks to split their fourth-straight two-game series in Boise this season by winning game two for the third time out of four games.
The Grizzlies have alternated starting goaltenders in four straight games, if they go back to Brandon Wildung he’ll bring a 1-0-1-0 pro record into his third pro start.

Utah will look to snap Idaho’s longest winning streak of the season, which currently stands at five, like they snapped Colorado’s seven-game winning streak on Saturday.
Four-straight games with Utah and Idaho have been decided by a goal, seven of the 13 this year have been one-goal games and four have gone past regulation. Utah is 7-4-0-2 overall
against the Steelheads this year.
Utah has split three two-game series in Idaho this season with a 3-3 record overall. They are 1-2 in game ones and 2-1 in game twos. They look to build on 5-1-2-1 stretch in their last nine road games tonight.
Aggregate scoring is 42-40 through 13 games between the two teams this season.
Taylor Richart will be back in the lineup tonight for the Grizzlies after missing his first two games of the season last Friday and Saturday.
His next goal at 18 will tie him with Greg Hawgood from 2001-2002 for the most goals by a Utah defenseman in team history during a single season.
Brendan Harms and Mitch Maxwell have both scored goals in two-straight games.

-Utah and Colorado will meet for the final time in the regular season Wednesday, April 4 in Colorado.
-Taylor Richart missed his first game of the season Friday night after sustaining an undisclosed injury Wednesday.
-Ryan Misiak is the only remaining Grizzlies player to have played in all 66 games this season.
-Utah has played 35 one-goal games which ties them with Brampton for the second most in the league.
-South Carolina has played a league leading 36 one-goal games.
-Utah played 43 one-goal games in 2013-2014 and 39 2014-2015.
-Utah played 29 one-goal games last year and 24 in 2015-2016.
Looking For 2
-Utah has one point in four of their last seven games.
-Utah has one goal in 12 of their last 14 periods, but not two goals in five games since the first period in Manchester on March 16.
-Sam Windle has a two-game scoring streak for the second time this year.
-33 shots through two periods tied the third highest two periods total for Utah this year and marked the 14th time this year and the second time against Colorado that they have tallied at least 40 shots.

Best Stretch Since
-Utah went unbeaten in 15 of 17 games at 13-2-2-2 in 2013-2014 as they turned a 7-14-1-2 record into a 20-16-3-4 mark from December 27-February 1.
-Utah’s 7-2-3-2 stretch start with a 17-23-6-4 mark on February 15 and has them at 25-25-8-6 since adding Jake Marchment and Gage Ausmus from Colorado and signing Sam Babintsev and Mitch Maxwell.
What’s Going Right
-Utah has scored first in 14 of their last 17 games and in three-straight games overall.
-Utah has either been tied or led after one period in 16 of their last 17 games.
-Utah has been either tied or ahead in the third period in 15 of their last 16 games.

Final Eight Games
-Utah looks to close out the final eight games of the regular season similar to last year when they went 7-1 in their final eight games that started with back-to-back wins against Colorado.
-Utah is five points in back of the final playoff spot, in the same position they were last year with eight games remaining as they again look to leapfrog two teams.
-Utah has signed goaltender Brandon Wildfung out of Mercyhurst College where he finished his college career last Friday.
-He went 20-10-4 with a 2.81 Goals-Against-Average and a .918 Save Percentage during his Senior Season.
-He went 50-40-10 during his career and was a teammate of Ryan Misiak during the 2014-2015 season.
The Road Trip
-Utah held six one-goal leads on the road trip, trailed in regulation three times by one and only by two in the final three minutes Sunday as they dropped two games in overtime and a 4-2 contest in Worcester.
-Ryan Misiak had two goals in three games as did Jake Marchment as both players scored their 14th and 15th goals of the season.
-Utah went 2-11 on the power-play and 9-11 on the penalty-kill as they outshot the opposition 90-80.
-45 shots allowed in the last two games of the road trip is the third lowest total in two games this year for Utah.
-Utah is 8th in the 27-team ECHL allowing 30.28 shots-per-game.
-Utah has allowed 30 shots or less to Colorado in six of nine games this year.
-Utah has outshot Colorado in five of nine games this year.
Utah and Colorado
-The Grizzlies and Eagles haven’t met since December 23 after playing nine times in the first 30 games of the season.
-Eight of the nine games were decided by a goal, five of the nine games went past regulation with Utah’s only win being a 5-4 overtime win on December 22.
-Utah went 4-47 on the power-play against Colorado and 33-42 on the penalty-kill.

This is Utah’s first game in Worcester since February 29, 2004 and a 4-3 overtime win. They went 2-0-2 in Worcester from 2002-2004 in the AHL.
The Grizzlies were checked into the hotel by 11 p.m. last night after the quick one hour bus ride from Manchester after the 6 p.m. start.
A Utah win today gives Utah a 1-0-0-2 road trip and four of six points. Utah is 2-0-1-0 on Sundays on the road this year.
Utah has done a good job of managing games this weekend having only trailed for 9:23 in two games against Manchester. Utah led for 36:16 in Manchester over the 120 minutes of regulation as we were tied for 73:21.
Utah outscored Manchester 3-1 in the first periods, was outscored 4-2 in the second periods and scoring was 1-1 in the third periods.
Utah came out full of energy playing three games in less than 48 hours two weeks ago as they beat Indy 4-1 on a Sunday game
Charley Graaskamp will see his first action of the weekend today as Brad Navin gets the day off.

With another point, Utah now stands at 8-1-1-2 (.791 winning percentage) in their last 12 games.
Utah is now unbeaten at 5-0-1-1 in their last seven road games.
The Grizzlies scored four goals or more for another team record tenth-straight game, even without Austin Ortega, in their first game since he was recalled Monday.
Utah got a standings point last night despite not getting a point from any of their top three point-a-game players as Ryan Walters, Michael Pelech and Kyle Thomas all didn’t score for just the second time in 16 games played together this year as two of their new forwards have really chipped in. Sam Babintsev with two assists last night now has two goals and three assists in his last five and Mitch Maxwell has two goals and two assists for four points in his last three games.
Four of Jake Marchment’s goals with Utah have given them 1-0 first period leads on the power-play, one has tied a game at 2 and last night he gave Utah a 4-3 lead.
Travis Howe had his first career multiple-point game last night in his first professional contest in his home region of New England as he had two assists.

Kyle Thomas will replace the recalled Austin Ortega with Michael Pelech and Brad Navin on Utah’s first line tonight.
Chris Leibinger will return to the Utah lineup tonight after missing 15 of the last 16 games injured. He’s Utah’s second leading scorer by defensemen, behind Taylor Richart, with four goals and 17 assists for 21 points in 41 games.
Utah has scored four goals or more in 23 of their last 36 games to go along with the current team record of four goals or more in nine-straight games.
This is Utah’s first game in Manchester since January 5, 2005 when both teams were members of the American Hockey League. Utah played four games in the AHL here and went 1-2-1.
When the two teams met in Utah in November, power-plays and shots were pretty even.
Utah went 2-12 on the power-play and Manchester went 3-11, going 3-for-4 against Angus Redmond on November 24. Aggregate shots were 104-100 Utah.

-Utah is unbeaten in a season-high five-straight home games at 3-0-0-2.
-Utah has matched a ten-game unbeaten streak from March 9-27, 2013 when they went 5-0-1-4, they also went unbeaten in ten-straight from January 9-February 4, 2009 when they went 2-0-3-5.
-Utah goes for an eleven-game unbeaten streak for the first time since they set a team record with a 13-game unbeaten streak December 31, 1994-January 27, 1995.
-Austin Ortega set team history last night with an assist in ten-straight games to run his scoring streak to twelve-straight games.
-Kip Miller had an assist in nine-straight games November 1, 1998-November 28, 1998.

A win today to wrap up the road trip and run their unbeaten streak to nine-straight games, would move Utah into a fourth place tie with Tulsa in the Mountain Division.
The Grizzlies look to get off to another good start. They have two first period goals in five-straight games and have scored in eleven-straight first periods overall.
Utah has finished strong on the eight-game unbeaten streak by outscoring the opposition 13-3 in the third periods.
Utah has four of the top eight scorers in the ECHL this week as Ryan Walters (five goal, two assists) and Austin Ortega (two goals, five assists) are tied for the league lead. Taylor Richart has one goal and four assists and Brad Navin has two goals and three assists.
Walters is now tied for third in the ECHL with 28 goals, two back of Manchester’s Jordan Smotherman for second.
Ortega can get Utah’s first eleven-game scoring streak since January 6-February 9, 2013 today.
Only Idaho and Colorado have more road wins than the Grizzlies with Utah at 13-10-4-2 away from Maverik Center.

Utah’s seven-game unbeaten streak looks to move to eight tonight in Indy. They last had an eight-game unbeaten streak January 17-February 1, 2014 when they went 7-0-1-0.
This is Utah’s first visit to Indy since a 2-0 win here March 4, 2016 as they improved to 2-1 all-time in this building after a 5-4 win on December 8, 1995 and a 5-1 loss March 21, 1998.
After trailing for just 12:45 in their last six games last night, Utah was behind for 41:06 last night as they still found a way to get a point; settling for three of four points in the Quad Cities.
Last night, Utah recorded 40 shots for the second-straight game and for the 11th time this year as they did tie team history by scoring five goals or more in four-straight games for the first time since November 24-December 1, 1995.
Utah has scored five goals or more 10 times in the last 17 games and now has two goals or more 12 times in the last 21 periods.
The Grizzlies and Indy both enter tonight two points out of a playoff spot.

Utah looks to tie their season-high from last year with a seven-game winning streak when they won seven in a row from March 24-April 5. Utah looks for their seventh win in 15 days tonight after starting the stretch with a 5-4 win in Allen on February 16.
The Grizzlies have scored five goals or more in three-straight games for the first time since October 29-November 4, 2009. They also did it January 17-24, 2009 in three-straight games that went past regulation. The only other time in the ECHL era that they’ve scored five or more in three-straight games was December 27-31, 2005. They also did it twice in the IHL during the 1997-98 season.
Utah looks to tie an all-time team high tonight with five goals or more in four-straight games. They did it November 24-December 1, 1995 with 9-3 and 6-2 wins over San Francisco, a 5-3 win over Phoenix and a 5-1 win over Minnesota.
Ortega leads the ECHL in scoring with 15 goals and 20 assist for 35 points in 24 games since being assigned to Utah on January 6.
