-The Grizzlies play game two of their six-game home stand and game two of 13 of their next 16 at home tonight.
-The Grizzlies and Stockton wrap up their series Monday at 7 p.m.
-The Grizzlies are 4-0-1-0 in their last five games and 5-1-1-0 in their last seven contests.
-Utah’s five-game unbeaten streak is the second longest this year after they went 5-0-1-1 January 9-19.
-Utah is 3-0 versus Stockton at Maverik Center.
-They have won two-straight games against Stockton when trailing by a goal in the second period and tied in the third.
-Utah has a winning record against every division opponent except Colorado, who they are 4-6-1-1 against and last played December 29.
-The Grizzlies enter today with a three point lead on Alaska and a ten point lead on Bakersfield for fourth place in the Pacific Division.
-Ryan Hayes is tied for the team lead with nine goals since being acquired from Stockton on January 16.
-Hayes has Utah’s game-winning goal in two of the last three games.

-The Grizzlies open a six-game home stand and 13 of their next 16 games at home tonight with Stockton.
-The Grizzlies and Stockton meet again Saturday at 8 p.m. and Monday at 7p.m.
-The Grizzlies enter the week with a five point lead on Alaska and an eight point lead on Bakersfield for fourth place in the Pacific Division.
-Utah has led 1-0 after one period in four-straight games and has scored in the final 4:32 of the period in each game.
-Utah has scored in the first period in five-straight games for the first time since scoring in seven-straight October 18-November 8.
-Utah hasn’t allowed a first period goal in four-straight games for the second time all season and for the first time since December 29-January 3.
-Utah is 18-4-4-2 when scoring first and 14-1-4-1 when leading after one.
-Utah has scored first in four of five games against Stockton this season.
-The Grizzlies gained five points in the standings on the Aces by taking five of six in Anchorage over the weekend and going 3-0-1-0 on the week, while Alaska went 1-3.
Goalie Of Week
-Igor Bobkov was named Goaltender of the Week for the third time in his career on Tuesday after going 3-0-1-0 with two shutouts, a 1.49 goals-against-average and a .955 save percentage as he stopped 122 of 127 shots.
Special Teams Have Good Trip To Alaska
-The Grizzlies scored a power-play goal in all three games in Alaska, going a combined 3 for 9.
-It is the first time the Grizzlies have scored a power-play goal in three-straight games since October 18-November 14 when they scored one in ten-straight games.
-Utah also went nine for ten on the penalty-kill running their stretch to 22 for their last 23.
-Utah hasn’t allowed a power-play goal in five of their last seven games.
-Ryan Hayes scored a goal in all three games in Anchorage and had three goals and two assists.
-Hayes had 17 shots in three games with 7,5 and 5 over the series.
-T.J. Syner had two goals and three assists.

A Grizzlies win today gives them a five point lead on Alaska in the standings as they head home for 13 of their final 19, while Alaska hits the road for 15 of their final 21 games. A loss, separates the teams by just one point.
It is the Grizzlies second chance this year to take five of six points in Anchorage. They were unable to hold a 1-0 third period lead on January 3 and settled for three of six points. Tonight they will look to complete the full 60 minutes.
Last night was the Grizzlies ECHL leading 17th win by one goal as they improved to 17-7-5-3 in one-goal games.
Through 120 minutes of regulation this weekend the Grizzlies have not trailed.
35 shots last night for the Grizzlies was the most since they had 36 Friday, January 9 in a 7-2 win over Stockton. It is the 6th time this year that the Grizzlies have had 35 shots or more in a game. 67 shots this weekend on 32 Friday and 35 Saturday is Utah’s second highest back-to-back shot effort this year. They had 68 shots January 9 and 10.
35 saves by Igor Bobkov tied a season-high for most saves he has made in a game this year. He also had 35 saves in a 6-3 win over Bakersfield on January 30.
Mike Folkes was later credited with an assist on Utah’s second goal last night and Patrick Wellar with one on the game-winning goal. Folkes is now an even or better in 13-straight games and a plus-nine in that stretch.

The Grizzlies are 3-0-0-1 when Ryan Hayes scores a goal and he has scored on a shorthanded breakaway twice in the last week. Hayes led the Grizzlies last night with seven shots and has five of his 15 goals this year against Alaska, with four coming when he played for Stockton. Barry Almeida had six shots Friday and Jacob Johnston had five.
T.J. Syner now has three goals and one assist in his last five games as he has been back in the lineup almost a month after his injury.
Utah and the Aces have gone past regulation in three of four games played in Anchorage this year, with all three games having ended before the shootout. Utah is 4-0 in the game following an overtime loss this year.
After a rare scoreless night last night, Michael Pelech will look to avoid going scoreless in two-straight games for the second time all year and for the first time since November 17 and 19.
Including two trips with Bakersfield, Corey Fienhage will play nine total road games in Alaska this regular season on three separate trips to Anchorage.
The Grizzlies improved to 15 for their last 15 on the penalty-kill last night and 20 for their last 22 with a 2 for 2 effort.

The Grizzlies went 2-1 last week while Alaska went 2-1-0-1 as the two teams remain neck and neck in the standings. The difference, the Grizzlies have just nine road games left and Alaska has just nine home games left. Utah holds a two point lead over the Aces for fourth in the Pacific Division.
In the last five games played, Igor Bobkov has stopped 142 of 152 shots for a .937 save percentage and a 2.02 goals-against-average. His 32 save shutout Monday was the first of the season and his third with Utah. He shutout Alaska in back to back games December 3 and 5 last year.
The Grizzlies are much deeper now then on their first trip to Anchorage when they collected a respectable three points and went 1-1-1-0 December 31-January 3. Channing Boe and T.J. Syner were both injured and Ryan Hayes, Corey Fienhage and Steve MacIntyre had yet to join team.
Meanwhile, last trip, Alaska had four forwards up front who are currently in the AHL and two other forwards who were injured and did not finish Tuesday’s game in Bakersfield. Meanwhile, Henrik Lundstrom who played two of three games in goal that weekend is currently in the AHL.
The Grizzlies are 13 for their last 13 on the penalty-kill and 18 for their last 20 in the last four games.
Mathieu Aubin has four goals and four assists for eight points during his six-game scoring streak. He has five goals and eight assists for 13 points in his last nine games, scoring in eight of those contests.
Game Day Blog Entry: February 14

With two shorthanded goals last night in the third period, the Grizzlies now lead the ECHL with 11 shorthanded tallies this season.
The third period marked the second time in three games that Utah has scored three goals in a period.
Last night was Utah’s fifth win of the season when trailing after two periods and their third-straight win against Idaho when trailing after two periods.
It was their fourth win out of their last eight against Idaho when trailing after two periods as well and it continued a trend of the team that scores first not winning five of the first seven games in the season series so far.
Igor Bobkov made 21-straight saves and didn’t allow a goal for the final 42:17 last night as the Grizzlies completed their comeback. It was the 12th time in 14 games that Grizzlies goaltending has allowed three or less in regulation.
Utah had seven odd-man rushes last night and scored on three of their final four.
The Grizzlies killed their final six penalties and scored two shorthanded goals after Idaho scored on their first two chances on the power-play.
With the win, the Grizzlies improved to 4-2-1-0 against Idaho, giving them their second best winning percentage against a division opponent this year as they are 6-3-1-0 against Bakersfield.

The Grizzlies have scored five goals or more in four of their last five Friday games, including six or more three times and seven once.
Ryan Faragher has been recalled by Anaheim and assigned to Norfolk following the injury of Ducks goaltender Frederick Andersen’s and the call-up of John Gibson.
Danick Paquette returns to the lineup today after serving a two-game suspension last weekend for an unpenalized hit the last time the Grizzlies were in Idaho on February 4.
In six games versus the Steelheads, Utah doesn’t have a player with more than five points, meanwhile Jason Bast, who as of this morning, remained in the AHL leads Idaho against Utah with five goals and two assists for seven points in six games over the series.
Mathieu Aubin is two points away from giving Utah two players in the top 20 in ECHL scoring, along with Michael Pelech, as he has 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 47 games.
After tonight’s game, the Grizzlies will be two-thirds through the 2014-2015 schedule.
Looking ahead to 2015-2016, ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna says there will be more inter-conference games in the latest episode of ECHL Week.

-With four goals and six assists for ten points in his last four games, Michael Pelech has moved to fourth in the ECHL in scoring with 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points in 46 games.
-He is also fourth in the ECHL with 23 goals.
When They Score
-Utah improved to a combined 19-8-3-2 last night when Mathieu Aubin or Michael Pelech score a goal.
-Aubin has four goals and four assists in his last five games.
5-Game Scoring Streak
-With an assist in 5-straight games, Jacob Johnston has tied a season-high five-game scoring streak. He previously had a 5-game scoring streak from December 5-13 with two goals and five assists.

-The Grizzlies return to Maverik Center where they are unbeaten in 10 of their last 13 games at 9-3-0-1.
-The Grizzlies host Bakersfield tonight and tomorrow to wrap up four-straight weekends and seven of their last ten games against the Condors.
-Utah is 5-2-1-0 in eight games against the Condors this year, six of the games have been played in Bakersfield.
-The road team has won five of the last seven contests.
-Utah is 7-3-1-1 in their last 12 games and lead Bakersfield by five points and Alaska by seven points entering tonight.

Utah and Idaho went past regulation in two games played here last month as Idaho won 4-3 in overtime on January 13 and Utah 2-1 in a shootout on January 14 as the two teams meet for the fifth time on the year tonight.
Four-straight games between the two teams have been decided by a goal, three-straight have gone past regulation and in four-straight the team that has scored first has not won.
Igor Bobkov has not appeared against Idaho this year, but went 5-0-1-0 last year against the Steelheads with a 2.42 goals-against-average and a .918 save percentage. Ryan Faragher has a 2-0-1-0 record with a 2.22 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage.
Michael Pelech has five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 17 games against Idaho the last two seasons.
The Grizzlies wrap up a three-game road stretch tonight in Boise going for two of three wins as they hold a five point lead on Bakersfield and a seven point lead on Alaska for seventh place in the division.
Utah plays their 25th out of 36 road games tonight and their 25th game on the road out of 45 overall tonight. They have played 55-percent of their games away from Maverik Center. Meanwhile, Bakersfield plays their 22nd of 45 total games tonight on the road and Alaska who’s off until Friday has only played 17 of their 41 games on road where they are 5-11-1-0. The Grizzlies definitely have the most favorable home-road spread going down the stretch.
