Tyson Whiting is in his first year as the “Voice of the Grizzlies,” Replacing Adrian Denny, who was the play by play announcer for Grizzlies broadcasts for the past 13 years.
Whiting was the host of the Pregame, Intermission and Postgame shows for Utah Grizzlies radio broadcasts for the past 2 seasons. Whiting was a game analyst, reporting on the bench during home games as well as select road games. He hosted Grizzlies TV segments online on game days, throughout the week and during television broadcasts on KMYU.
Tyson was a broadcaster for the Idaho Falls Chukars baseball club in the Pioneer League for the 2018 season. Whiting did solo play by play during road games and worked with John Balginy on the broadcasts for every home game.
He also has over 5 years of experience working in sports talk radio in the Salt Lake City market, having hosted the “TYSON Show”, a weekly sports talk show for over 2 years on Cumulus owned 1320 KFAN. Tyson also produced the “Gunther and Ben” show at KFAN for 3 years.
Whiting was born in Pocatello, Idaho, but has lived in the Salt Lake County since he was 2 years old. Tyson enjoys playing golf, watching sports and talking about sports history.
