A native of Rosemount, Minnesota, Walters is tied for third in the ECHL with 28 goals and is tied for 11th with 55 points in 50 games. He began the season with Yunost Minsk in Belarus, where had 15 points (7g-8a) in 10 games. He was named the Grizzlies Captain on December 15.

Walters has recorded 225 points (102g-123a) in 238 career ECHL games with Utah, Rapid City and Alaska while adding 11 points (2g-9a) in 32 career games in the American Hockey League with Bridgeport, Iowa and San Diego.
