West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced today that the team has re-signed forward Travis Howe for the 2017-2018 season.
Howe, 23, returns for his second season in Utah after finishing second in the ECHL with 22 fighting majors and fourth in penalty minutes with 234 during the 2016-2017 season. He had two goals, both game-winning goals; and two assists in 50 total games played.
“Getting Travis re-signed was a high priority for us,” said Branham. “He is a fan favorite and a very important part of our team. We are excited to have him back.”
The Massachusetts native made last year’s team on a training camp invite and finished with the third most penalty minutes since the team joined the ECHL in 2005 and the ninth most in the 23-season history of the organization.
