The Grizzlies drew 17,492 fans to Maverik Center for two games over the weekend, including a sellout crowd of 10,649 on Saturday night for Guns N Hoses night.
Utah hosts Idaho Wednesday before going to Boise Friday and Saturday as they look to build on a 5-3-0-1 record on the year against their closest regional rival.
Utah has drawn the third most fans in the 27-team ECHL so far this season at 127,053 through 25 home games. Through 25 games, Utah is averaging 69 more fans per-game than through 25 games last year when they averaged 5,360 fans-per-game, Utah’s highest attendance since 2003-2004.
Postgame Jersey Auction
Saturday’s postgame specialty jersey auction raised $15,603 with all proceeds going to Mascot Miracles Foundation, University of Utah Burn Camp and other special causes for local police officers and firefighters.
Final Home Game Until February 19
Wednesday is our next Wild Wednesday and the final home game until February 19. Wild Wednesdays include lower bowl tickets that start at $10 and free refills on 44 ounce Coke Products and one free refill on popcorn. Save The Dates
The Grizzlies return home for a President’s Day Matinee and Maverik Monday on Monday, February 19. Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24, the Grizzlies team with Stadler to host Wichita for Grizzlies Fight Cancer.
New Goalie Settles In At Home
Arizona Coyotes prospect Sean Maguire stopped 72 of 79 shots last week in his first three games at Maverik Center for a 2.36 Goals-Against-Average and a .911 Save Percentage.
Utah is 12-1-2-0 when scoring four goals or more this season as they have done in ten of their last nineteen games.
Jon Puskar is tied for 5th in the ECHL with 11 goals in 16 games since December 22 and he also has four assists for 15 points in that 16 game stretch.
Big Week for Rookie Defenseman
Chris Leibinger had one goal and four assists for five points in three games against Tulsa last week as he tallied three power-play assists.
Utah is 13 for their last 42 (30.9-percent) on the power-play and 20 for their last 20 on the penalty-kill.

Z-104, Utah’s #1 Country Station, returns as the Official Country Station of the Grizzlies with select games broadcast live on the legendary KSOP AM 1370/104.3 FM HD-2; featuring Utah’s Classic Country. Denny joins Dave and Deb the Friday of every weekend home stand just after 9 a.m. on Z-104, followed by a visit with Country Joe on AM 1370/104.3 FM HD-2.
KMYU will begin its sixth season of televising Grizzlies games this season with the next broadcasts coming up Monday February 19 and Saturday, February 24 as Denny joins Adam Mikulich from 2 News Talkin’ Sports. Grizzlies television broadcasts are presented by Operation Lifesaver.
