The Grizzlies host Rapid City this weekend to open eight of their next 15 games against the Rush. Utah looks to build on an 8-1-1-0 record against Rapid City last year and a 14-5-2-0 all-time mark against the Rush.

Teddy Bear Toss
The Grizzlies Teddy Bear Toss, Presented by Ford, is Friday, December 15. Fans are invited to throw stuffed animals onto the ice after the Grizzlies first goal. The bears will be donated by the team during their visit to Primary Children’s Hospital, The Road Home and other local charities for children.
Star Wars Night
The Grizzlies team with Netflix, Mark Miller Subaru, Rewind 100.7, Mix 105.1 and Z-104 for Star Wars Night on Saturday, December 16. The night full of Star Wars content will feature the Grizzlies wearing specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off live after the game with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Goaltender Kevin Carr has made seven-straight starts for the Grizzlies, leads the ECHL with 1,046 minutes played and is second with 473 saves. He stopped 64 of 66 shots over the weekend in Boise.
The Grizzlies penalty-kill hasn’t allowed a power-play goal in the last 297:55 of hockey and has killed 24-straight situations which is a season-high.
Ryan Walters had a five-game scoring streak snapped Saturday after totaling four goals and three assists in his previous five games. He is Utah’s leading scorer with 17 points on six goals and 11 assists in 16 games since being acquired on October 31.
Olsen Scores Three Last Week
Ryan Olsen scored three goals in four games last week to pull into a tie for second on the team with six goals after doubling his total entering the week.

The Grizzlies are in a similar situation as three of the last four seasons when they’ve stuck to the course and emerged to have extremely successful finishes.

Official Country Station
Z-104, Utah’s #1 Country Station, returns as the Official Country Station of the Grizzlies with select games broadcast live on the legendary KSOP AM 1370; featuring Utah’s Classic Country. Denny joins Dave and Deb the Friday of every weekend home stand just after 9 a.m. on Z-104, followed by a visit with Country Joe on AM 1370.
KMYU will begin its sixth season of televising Grizzlies games after the holidays. A complete schedule will be announced before hand as Denny joins Adam Mikulich from 2 News Talkin’ Sports.
