The Grizzlies open four games in five nights on the road Wednesday in Dallas when they take on the Allen Americans in a rematch of last year’s first round series.
Three-Game Winning Streak Snapped
The Grizzlies will look to make it four out of five overall Wednesday when they start the trip in Allen against an Americans team who started 3-0, but has since gone winless in four-straight at 0-2-2-0.
The Grizzlies are 3-0 this season when scoring first; however two of their three wins have come when also trailing in the third period.
Homecoming for Carr
Grizzlies goaltender Kevin Carr, who has won two-straight starts early in the season, returns to Tulsa Friday and Saturday where he won 51 games from 2014-2016 to take on Head Coach Rob Murray whom he played for last year in Alaska.
Taylor Richart is tied for the ECHL lead with two game-winning goals and has scored Utah’s game-winning goal in two-straight wins.
Kyle Thomas had a five-game scoring streak snapped on Saturday night and currently has one goal and seven assists for eight points in eight games on the season. Michael Pelech is tied for fourth in the ECHL in scoring with three goals and six assists for nine points in eight games.
Ryan Olsen had one goal and two assists over the weekend after totaling one assist in his first six games.
Greger Hanson was recalled to the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate in San Diego Saturday after totaling three goals and five assists for eight points in seven games to start the season with Utah. Defenseman James Melindy was called up before the weekend’s action.
The Grizzlies return home Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11. Fans who buy a ticket at the Maverik Center box office or UtahGrizzlies.com, when mentioning the offer, will receive a free ticket to return to watch the Grizzlies the following weekend on Friday, November 17 and 18.

Official Country Station
Z-104, Utah’s #1 Country Station, returns as the Official Country Station of the Grizzlies with select games broadcast live on the legendary KSOP AM 1370; featuring Utah’s Classic Country. Denny joins Dave and Deb the Friday of every weekend home stand just after 9 a.m. on Z-104, followed by a visit with Country Joe on AM 1370.
KMYU will begin its sixth season of televising Grizzlies games after the holidays. A complete schedule will be announced before hand as Denny joins Adam Mikulich from 2 News Talkin’ Sports.
