The Grizzlies finished the week by taking two-straight games from the Idaho Steelheads and two of three games overall in the Wednesday, Friday and Saturday series that saw the first two games played in Boise. The team raised $16,000 with all proceeds going to Epilepsy Foundation Utah in the postgame jersey auction of the 1995-1996 Turner Cup Champion Throwback Jerseys.
Friday when the Grizzlies host Worcester at 7 p.m. we will unveil the Utah Dog; a hot dog topped with French Fries and Fry Sauce.
Saturday, Utah and Worcester will both be wearing Marvel themed uniforms. In addition, Kids under 12 in costume will be admitted for $5 and there will be trick or treating on the concourse during the second intermission. To RSVP to host a Trick or Treat booth, call (801) 988-8800.
Kevin Carr earned his eighth career shutout and his first win with the Grizzlies Saturday as he stopped all 36 Idaho shots in the 3-0 win as he became one of three ECHL goaltenders to not allow a goal in a game this season.
First Professional Win
Anaheim Ducks prospect Angus Redmond stopped 28 of 31 shots for his first professional win as the Grizzlies beat Idaho 4-3 in overtime on Friday.
Three times in the last four games the Grizzlies have scored two goals in less than two minutes and nine seconds; including twice over the weekend when they scored two goals in 38 seconds Saturday to take a 2-0 lead early against Idaho and Friday when they scored two goals in 27 seconds in the first 50 seconds of the contest to also take a 2-0 lead.
First Line Gets Rolling
After being held scoreless in the first two games, the Grizzlies first line of Kyle Thomas (one goal, five assists), Michael Pelech (three goals, three assists) and Greger Hanson (three goals, four assists) got going in four games in six nights last week as they combined for seven goals and 12 assists.
Taylor Richart is tied for the ECHL lead with three goals as a defenseman and is second in scoring by d-men overall with three goals and two assists in six games. Cliff Watson is also in the top five in scoring by defensemen with one goal and three assists for four points in six games.
Charley Graaskamp has scored in each of his first three professional games with one goal, two assists and a plus-four. Saturday night he recorded his first professional fight in the third period against Steven McParland

Official Country Station
Z-104, Utah’s #1 Country Station, returns as the Official Country Station of the Grizzlies with select games broadcast live on the legendary KSOP AM 1370; featuring Utah’s Classic Country. Denny joins Dave and Deb the Friday of every weekend home stand just after 9 a.m. on Z-104, followed by a visit with Country Joe on AM 1370.
KMYU will begin its sixth season of televising Grizzlies games after the holidays. A complete schedule will be announced before hand as Denny joins Adam Mikulich from 2 News Talkin’ Sports.
