Loveland, Colorado – The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Colorado Eagles 4-1 Saturday night in Colorado.
Grizzlies goaltender Ryan Faragher stopped 41 of 42 shots in the game, including 14/15 in the first period and all 18 shots that he saw in the third period to earn the win.
Forward Zac Larraza had two goals and two assists in the game factoring in on all Utah scores. Utah leading scorer Erik Bradford had two assists in the contest.
Mathieu Aubin (16) gave Utah a 1-0 lead 15:13 into the first period as Martin Nemcik and Gabriel Verpaelst got the puck deep. Zac Larraza forced it free and Aubin scored down low as Michael Pelech went to the net. After Utah killed two first period penalties, the Eagles tied the game with 20 seconds left in the first period but that would be all of their scoring.
Larraza crossed the blue line and scored from the circle 3:22 into the second on Utah’s first power-play to make it 2-1.
Colin Martin (20) took a backdoor pass from Erik Bradford on the power-play to make it 3-1 with 2:11 left in the second period as Larraza added another assist.
Larraza made it 4-1 going hard to the net from Bradford again 9:48 into the third period. Verpaelst picked up an assist as Utah killed time in the Colorado zone.
Utah went 2-5 on the power-play and 4-4 on the penalty-kill.
The final Wild Wednesday of the regular season will be Wednesday, April 5 and will feature $5 Lower Bowl Student Tickets and $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Soft Drinks, $2 Churros and $4 Grizzlies Goal-Den Ale.

Fan Appreciation Weekend
The Grizzlies host Fan Appreciation Weekend, presented by the Utah Building and Construction Trades Council, Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8. The weekend will feature any ticket in the lower bowl for $13, excluding rinksides at the Maverik Center Box Office. Fans can also add on a gyro and a soft drink for $10. In addition, fans can add a ticket to see Brit Floyd at Maverik Center on July 6 for only $13 (Regular $29.) Saturday’s game will also feature a team poster giveaway to the first 5,000 fans. Fans can get them autographed by the entire team after the game.
