The Grizzlies return home after a 5-1 road trip and winners of 9 of their last 10 games to improve to 16-4-2-0 since December 21.
Winning The Close Ones
Five of the Grizzlies last six wins have come by a single goal and their last six wins going back to January 28 have been within a goal in the final minute.
The Grizzlies are back home Friday and Saturday for Pink In The Rink Weekend Powered by B-Mazda. Fans will be able to purchase a weekend package to attend both games in the lower bowl starting at $20 at the Maverik Center Box Office with a portion of the proceeds going back to fight breast cancer. In addition, the Grizzlies will be selling $5 Pink Grizzlies Pink In The Rink T-Shirts in the team store for ticket holders of games that weekend with again a portion of the proceeds going back to fight breast cancer while supplies and sizes last.
The Grizzlies are home February 20 for their next Maverik Monday and a President’s Day Matinee at 1:30 p.m. Fans can get buy 1 get 1 free tickets with their Maverik Adventure Club Card. In addition, there will be a $6 Lunch Combo that includes a hot dog, fries and a soft drink. Churros will be available for $2.
Ducks Prospect Returns
Kevin Boyle is 3-0 with a 1.93 Goals-Against-Average, a .942 Save Percentage and has stopped 97 of 103 shots since being reassigned back to Utah by Anaheim on February 3.
More Rookie Production
Colin Martin is tied for second in the ECHL with nine goals during Utah’s current 9-1 stretch dating back to January 20. He has two assists as well during this stretch for 11 points.
Michael Pelech has scored in 16 of 25 games since being acquired from Reading on December 13 and has eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points. Cam Reid has scored in 14 of 20 games since being acquired from Reading on December 17 and has six goals and 14 assists.
First year ECHL forward Travis Howe is third in the ECHL with 15 fighting majors.
Utah has won seven-straight games when scoring the first goal to improve to 16-6-0-1 when scoring first this year.
The Grizzlies will look to continue their success against Idaho this season with three games at Maverik Center this week. Utah took three-straight games from the Steelheads in Boise February 1-5. Five of the last six games between the two teams have seen nine goals or more scored combined. Utah is 7-1 against the Steelheads this season.

The Grizzlies have returned to KMYU for their fifth season of telecasts. All Friday night home games will be televised for the rest of the season.
