Kevin M. Bruder has been with Elmore Sports Group, which owns the Utah Grizzlies, since 1997 and has served as general manager of Maverik Center since it opened in 1997. In 1998 he was named president of Centennial Management Group which in 2003 added the 20,000-seat USANA Amphitheatre and the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, consisting of 60 acres of festival ground and 75,000 square feet of meeting space, and in 2004 it entered into an event services agreement with Rice-Eccles Stadium and Tower on the campus of the University of Utah.
In 2005, Bruder was named president of the Utah Grizzlies Hockey Club overseeing the club’s transition from the AHL to the ECHL. He assumed the role as the team’s CEO in February of 2006. Bruder received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iowa State University and earned a master’s of business administration from Drake University. He is also a graduate of the Public Assembly Administration School and attended the International Association of Assembly Managers Senior Executive Symposium. A certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Bruder has also served on the budget committee and the professional development committee for IAAM. He was recently appointed to the board of directors for the TEAM Coalition and also serves as a director for the Life Safety Council. In 2003, he was invited by the Beijing Development and Planning Commission to serve on three bid-evaluation committees pertaining to the following Olympic Games venues, the Olympic Village, Convention Center, National Indoor Stadium and the Wukesong Sports and Entertainment Complex. Bruder serves as the chairman of the board of directors for ChamberWest and is also a member of the Westminster College Foundation Board of Directors.
Bruder has also served on the Nationwide Envirocare Utah Golf Classic Board and was president of the Blessed Sacrament School Board. He and his wife, Susan, make their home in the Salt Lake suburb of Sandy with their daughters, Allison and Emily and their sons Joel and Christopher.
