The Grizzlies look to build on 4-0 on a back-to-back after a win since January 6. Utah is 13-5-1-0 in the game following a win since December 23.

The Grizzlies hope to be back here in Colorado three weeks from this weekend to open the playoffs on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.

Erik Higby has four goals in his last four games played in Colorado. Michael Pelech has three goals and two assists for five points in his last three games.

In the ECHL, it is uncommon to stay on the road for consecutive weekends as the Grizzlies will do for the first time since February of 2014. Generally teams are successful across the board when on the road for an extended period of time.

Ten days is the longest the Grizzlies will have spent on the road since February 4-16 when they went 4-2-0-1 through Idaho, Las Vegas, Ontario, Colorado and Stockton.

Utah went 3-1-0-1 through Las Vegas and Bakersfield November 4-14 of 2011.

Utah went 2-1-0-3 through Victoria and Idaho February 2-14, 2010.

Alaska recently in the middle of winless in five at home and now winless in three at home went 5-3-2-0 through Elmira, Manchester, Utah, Colorado and Rapid City on a ten-game stretch in late February and early March.

Zac Larraza has rejoined the Grizzlies from Anaheim’s AHL affiliate in San Diego after sustaining an injury on March 3. He has two goals and three assists with Utah for five points in seven games this season.

The team has also added goaltender Rob Nichols from the University of Connecticut with a 2.66 Goals-Against-Average and a .918 Save Percentage in 93 wins.

In addition, defenseman Tim Daly has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets.

Utah has outscored the opposition 5-2 in the last two first periods. The Grizzlies have scored four goals in the first 5:04 of the contest in those last two games.
The Grizzlies last nine wins have come by a single goal, excluding two empty netters added late.

Orlando is 5-3-2 versus common opponents the Grizzlies have played this year going 2-1 against Alaska. 1-2 against Colorado, 1-0-1-0 against Missouri and 1-0-1-0 against Allen.  Utah is 8-9-3-1 against those common opponents.

Erik Bradford played for Orlando last year and had 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points in 65 games.

Garrett Haar will make his Grizzlies debut tonight after being acquired from Tulsa yesterday capping off three trades by Utah to add three defensemen in the last 18 days in: Marc-Andre Levesque, Gabriel Verpaelst and Haar after having five defensemen injured in a span from January 7-February 10.

Gabriel Verpaelst will make his Grizzlies debut tonight as the team added another defenseman yesterday for future considerations from the Norfolk Admirals.

He had played in all 57 games with Norfolk this year totaling six goals, nine assists and 155 penalty minutes. Last year, he had six goals and 28 assists for 34 points in 57 games and 162 penalty minutes with Norfolk while also playing eight games with Stockton of the AHL. The Grizzlies played against him 13 times in 2014-2015 when he was with Bakersfield and totaled 141 penalty minutes in his rookie season with three goals and seven assists.

Six of Utah’s 16 skaters in the lineup tonight were acquired in midseason trades in: Ralph Cuddemi, Cam Reid, Erik Bradford, Martin Nemcik, Marc-Andre Levesque and now Gabriel Verpaelst.

A win tonight gives Utah a four-game unbeaten streak which would tie their second longest of the season when they went 3-0-1-0 December 21-30.

Florida is coached by Brad Ralph who coached Idaho from 2012-2015. Utah went 24-15-4-3 against him including a 4-2 series win in the 2015 playoffs as Utah beat the Steelheads in the first round.

Ralph Cuddemi and Jon Puskar both played their first professional games with the Everblades.
