The Grizzlies are looking for a 4-0 road stretch over the last 9 days after a 3-1 win in Colorado on December 23, 5-3 in Missouri on Wednesday and 3-2 in overtime last night.
Utah has trailed in three of the four games during this four-game unbeaten streak, but have only trailed in the first period and for only a total of 20 minutes and 25 seconds over the last 242:25 of hockey.
Troy Redmann has had streaks of 54:28, 45:48 and 47:06 without allowing a goal during the last three games.
This is the fourth and final meeting of the year between Utah and Allen. Two-straight games have gone past regulation with neither team holding a lead of more than one goal.
17 shots allowed last night was the fewest allowed all season by Utah and the 34-17 shot differential was the team’s fourth largest of the season.
Tim Daly is up to fifth in the ECHL in scoring by defensemen with seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 30 games. He’s second in the ECHL among defensemen with three power-play goals and second with two game-winning goals.
Allen enters tonight after outscoring Wichita 14-0, including 9-0 last night over the last two games.
2013-2014 Grizzlies goaltender Aaron Dell who went 19-7-3 with the Grizzlies is now 4-1 in his rookie season with the San Jose Sharks after a 21 save shutout last night against Philadelphia and his college coach at the University of North Dakota Dave Hakstol.

A win tonight would give Utah a season-high four-game unbeaten streak. The modest three-game unbeaten streak is the fourth longest in the ECHL behind Toledo (6-0-0-1), Allen (5-0-0-1) and Brampton (4-0-0-0).
The Grizzlies and Tulsa are both coming off wins over Missouri. Utah beat the Mavericks 5-3 on Wednesday and Tulsa beat them 5-2 on Tuesday. In both instances Missouri took a 1-0 lead early. Wednesday, they went up 1-0 on Utah 43 seconds in after taking a 1-0 lead on Tulsa 1:48 in on Tuesday. Utah responded with four-straight goals, while Tulsa scored five-straight to take control of the contest.
The Grizzlies have outscored the opposition 6-2 in the first periods during their three-game unbeaten streak and have not allowed a second period goal in two-straight games for the first time since not allowing a second period goal in three-straight games October 22-October 29; which was part of a stretch of not allowing a second period goal in five of their first six games as they got off to a 5-1 start. Utah is 7-1-0-1 this year when not allowing a second period goal.
Four assists by Erik Bradford on Wednesday was the most by a Grizzlies player since his current linemate Michael Pelech had four assists on January 30, 2015 at Bakersfield. Four points was the most by a Grizzlies player since Barry Almeida had four goals last season against Tulsa on January 13.
Utah is 11-0-1-0 this year when being the first team to score three in a game as has happened in three-straight games for the second time this year.
The Grizzlies have allowed three five-on-five goals in the last three games.
In the last two games, the Grizzlies have had stretches of scoring three or four unanswered goals.
Erik Bradford has one goal and 14 assists for 15 points in 11 December games and has multiple-points in four of the last eight games, including two games of three points or more.
Utah improved to 6-0-1-1 when Jon Puskar scores a goal on Wednesday.

Utah looks to build on going unbeaten last week at 1-0-1-0 as they took three of four points from Colorado. The Grizzlies have had winning weeks in two of the last three after beating Rapid City in a pair of contests December 9 and 10.
It’s a quick turnaround for Missouri who lost 5-2 in Tulsa last night and bussed back the four hours home.
The Grizzlies have had a single player get two goals in a contest four times in the last six games with Erik Higby, Brad Navin, Cam Reid and Tim Daly. This is after they had a player get two goals in a game three times in the first 23 games this year.
With two goals Friday, Tim Daly has tied Mathieu Aubin for the team lead in points with 18.
Erik Bradford has multiple-points in three of the last seven games after two assists Friday.
After Friday’s 6-for-6, the Grizzlies look to go two-straight games without allowing a power-play goal for the second stretch this year and for the first time since not allowing a power-play goal in three-straight games October 28-November 2.
A goal by Ralph Cuddemi tonight gives him a goal in four-straight games and ties him with Mathieu Aubin for the Grizzlies season-high from December 9-16.
The Grizzlies last trip to the Kansas City area was March 3, 2001, a 3-2 shootout loss at Kemper Arena downtown. The Grizzlies and the Blades played from 1995-2001 in the IHL. Salt Lake’s hockey history with teams from Kansas City goes back to 1976.
This is the Grizzlies only trip to Missouri this year. The Mavericks will come to Utah to wrap up the regular season April 5, 7 and 8.

Utah looks for their third win in the last three years under Tim Branham going into Christmas. Both of the first two wins have come against Colorado in Utah.
This is Utah’s first visit to Colorado since game six of the playoffs last year when Utah defeated the Eagles 7-2 to win the deciding game six and the series four games to two on April 26.
The Grizzlies and Eagles have gone past regulation in the first three games of the season and neither team has led by more than a goal in three games.
Troy Redmann is now 3-1-1-0 all-time against Colorado. His 37 saves on Wednesday was a Utah season-high.
Ralph Cuddemi leads Utah in scoring against Colorado with two goals and two assists and has scored in all three games against the Eagles. He also has a goal in two-straight games for the first time this season. Utah is 3-1-1-0 when Cuddemi scores a goal.
Cam Reid joined Ralph Cuddemi, C.J. Eick and Erik Higby (2) as Grizzlies players who have scored two goals in a game this season.
Four of Utah’s next five road games will be visiting division opponents at their arenas for the first time this season in Colorado, Missouri, Allen and Rapid City.
Utah is now 5-2-1-0 when scoring two goals or more in the first period this season after Wednesday.
Six of Colorado’s last seven wins in their eight-game winning streak have come by a single goal.

-The Grizzlies and Colorado went past regulation in two-straight games October 28 and 29 with Utah winning 4-3 in overtime on the 28th and 3-2 in a shootout on October 29.
-Utah never trailed on the weekend and never led by more than one.
-Ralph Cuddemi leads active Utah players in the season series with one goal and one assist.
-Utah drew five of seven power-plays on October 28 and went 1-5 and 2-2 on the PK, Colorado drew three of four on the 29th and went 0-1 and 3-3.
-Ryan McKay stopped the final 18 shots that he saw Saturday after relieving Troy Redmann in the second period and finished the final 32:05 of the game.
-Troy Redman stopped 22 of 24 shots in his Utah debut Friday and Saturday gave up two goals on odd-man rushes, a power-play goal and a deflected puck four-on-four.
-Ryan Faragher remains day-to-day after getting hurt stopping a breakaway against Rapid City on December 9.
-Travis Howe has fought nine times this year and is tied with Colorado’s Teigan Zahn for second in the ECHL with nine fighting majors.

-Mathieu Aubin has scored a goal in four-straight games and now leads Utah with nine goals.
-A goal in four-straight games is the most for a Utah player since Alex Krushelnsyki scored one in five-straight games from November 27-December 9, 2015
-Aubin has five goals and two assists in his last seven games and eight goals in the last 13 games.
-Erik Bradford has a Utah season-high six game scoring streak with one goal and eight assists.
-Bradford’s six-game scoring streak is Utah’s longest since Alex Krushelnyski scored in nine-straight games from March 2-March 19, 2016.

-Each team had three five-on-five goals.
-Brad Navin was the only player to score two goals in the game and one of two players with multiple-points.
-No team had more than 10 shots in a period.
-55:55 of the game was played even-strength and 54 minutes was played five-on-five.
-Michael Pelech recorded an assist in his return to Utah.

-The Grizzlies won for the first time when tied after two periods Friday and won for the first time when trailing after two periods on Saturday.
-Both wins came by a single goal as both games were tied going into the final minute of regulation each night.
-Utah outscored Rapid City 3-1 in the third periods after previously being outscored 35-17 in the third periods.
-The two teams met in Toledo last season, with the Walleye winning the rubber game on January 27 to take 2 of 3. Aggregate scoring was 11-9.
-The winner scored five goals in two of the three games.
-Seven of Toledo’s 18 wins have come past regulation, four of Utah’s nine wins have come past regulation.
-The Grizzlies are looking for their second three-game winning streak of the year and points in four-straight home games which would also tie a season-high.
-Three Grizzlies will be in uniform for the first time this season in Brad Navin and Michael Pelech and goaltender Troy Redmann.
-Navin, a former captain at University of Wisconsin started his second pro season in Atlanta and played for the Gladiators last year in his rookie season.

-Utah held Rapid City to a season-low of three shots allowed in the third period and just one shot in the overtime.
-One shot allowed in overtime through 3:34 was the fewest shots allowed in six games.
-Utah hosts Toledo Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
-Utah and Rapid City will meet again January 6 and 7 and in Rapid City January 11, 13 and 14.
-The Grizzlies are 5-2 at home against Rapid City and 7-4-1-0 on the season series.

-Anaheim has recalled forward Kenton Helgesen and assigned him to their AHL affiliate in San Diego amid a plethora of early season injuries.
This Time Last Year
-Utah started a stretch of five of six games at home before Christmas on December 9 and went 5-0 with three wins against Alaska and two wins against Colorado.
Last Meeting In Utah
-The Grizzlies beat Rapid City 5-1 as the Rush broke up Ryan Faragher’s shutout with 3:02 left in the third period on Monday, February 15.
-The two teams combined for 106 penalty minutes in the third period.
-The game marked the final contest for Joe Ferras behind the Rapid City bench as Assistant Coach Mark Desantis took over 48 hours later in Idaho.
-The Grizzlies have scored a power-play goal in eight of their last 11 games and have gone nine for their last 44 for a 20.4-percent clip during the stretch.

The Grizzlies play their first regular season game in Fort Wayne since February 14, 1999 and return to Fort Wayne for the first time since last year’s playoffs. Both playoff games were tied in the second periods after the Grizzlies gave up a goal in the first 32 seconds of each game.
Utah has scored three goals or more in two of their last three games and they scored three or more in three of the four playoff games against Fort Wayne.
Erik Higby, Jon Puskar, C.J. Eick and Ryan Faragher are the only four players in today’s lineup that were part of that second round playoff series.
Fort Wayne has been off since Friday when they erased a 5-1 third period deficit, scored twice in the final minute and did Utah a favor by defeating Missouri 6-5 in overtime.
Alexandre Carrier will replace Colin Martin in the lineup today. Martin left last night’s contest in the first period injured.
Tim Daly has two goals and three assists for five points in seven games and has moved into tenth in the ECHL in scoring by defensemen.
Both teams have been giving up a lot of goals lately. All four goaltenders have save percentages of less than .900. Both teams have given up at least four goals in three-straight and in four of the last six.

The Grizzlies have scored three or more goals in two-straight for the first time since they scored three or more in seven-straight to start the season.
Utah has six goals in their last four periods played after previously having seven goals in their last 17 periods as the shots are starting to drop. Utah has six goals on their last fifty shots after previously having seven goals on their last 191 shots.
The Grizzlies, Fort Wayne and Florida are the only three teams in the ECHL in the top six in the league in both shots for and shots allowed.
Erik Bradford has 28 shots in the last five games and six or more shots in four of the last five games.
Mathieu Aubin has factored in on four-straight power-play goals for Utah with three goals and one assist. He has four goals and three assists overall for seven points in the last nine games.
Game Day Blog Entry: December 2, 2016

The Grizzlies go from an Olympic sized ice surface in Anchorage at 200-feet long by 100-feet wide to the smallest rink in the ECHL in Wheeling that is 185-feet long by 85-feet wide. Every other rink in the ECHL is 200-feet long by 85-feet wide.
Goaltender Ryan McKay is expected to make his professional debut this weekend after shutting out Idaho on 32 shots in his only other game action this year in the preseason. McKay won 34 games over his collegiate career at Miami of Ohio.
Johnny McInnis will make his Grizzlies debut tonight and wear number 91. He has become known for his durability, despite playing a hard hitting game. The former captain at University of Minnesota-Mankato played in every game last year with Orlando and did it twice during his college career. He has three goals and four assists in four career games in Wheeling.
Mathieu Aubin had two goals and two assists over two games when the Grizzlies were in Wheeling two years ago over the same weekend as he was involved in four of the Grizzlies five goals. For his career, Aubin has eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 18 regular season games in Wheeling.
Erik Bradford has six or more shots in three of the last four games. He has 22 shots in the last four games which is the highest total for a Grizzlies player this year.
